16 Truths Worth Contemplating

Years ago my friend Bobby suggested that I read a book called; Oneness. It was written by Rasha. I have learned that Bobby is a speaker of truth and that the things he shares are divinely guided. He is one of those very special friends that, just by being authentically who he is, shares wisdom with others. So (eventually) I listened and read the book. This book had a really profound impact on me. It changed me. It pushed me further down my path. It inspired me. The book has recently come up repeatedly in conversation. When I see or hear something 3 times I know this is not a coincidence but rather divine guidance. So the day I noticed the book sitting in my office, I pulled it out and began reading it again. This time, I did not read it from cover to cover. Rather I opened it at random pages. I read a couple pages and found that, once again, the book is having a profound affect on me. See below for 16 paraphrased bits of wisdom from Oneness.

Awareness does not come from thinking but from deep knowing.

◦ We are all one.

◦ We are fully responsible for our lives.

◦ The emotions and dramas of our life manifest as physical conditions in our body.

◦ Place emphasis on simplicity and love.

◦ Do not limit yourself by believing you are who you have always been.

◦ Letting go of your ego helps you to recognize yourself in others.

◦ By allowing circumstances ‘as is’ and altering our expectations, we more readily manifest positive results.

◦ Sometimes our plans bring us to our destiny, even when the plans are perceived to have failed.

◦ There is perfection in synchronicity.

Compassion is the thread that connects us all.

◦ The path to enlightenment is paved with many switchbacks.

◦ Your higher-self is always with you; to help you and guide you.

◦ As your vibrations shift, past “hurts” will no longer hold the sharpness of emotions upon reflection.

◦ View your past with compassion and not regret for it ALL served a purpose.

Manifestations with the intention of the best outcome for all concerned are the most powerful.

Thank you for sharing this lifetime with me. I hope that these little bits of truth inspire you, give you peace, or perhaps even incubate the beginning of transformation within you. Please share your thoughts with us all in the comments. These truth are ripe for discussion.

Thank you for reading my blog today. I love you. May you find inspiration, as if by magic.

Give It Some Time – The Richness of Life Will Reward You

Last night I ate green curry for supper. It was very good but I couldn’t eat it all. This morning, I decided, why not eat the left overs for breakfast. I know, not your traditional breakfast food, but I am not a traditional girl. I came to some big realizations by eating this non-traditional breakfast. The first was that it tasted so much better today! Think about all the things in life we hurry along, but if we only had allowed them to simmer and get ready in their own time, perhaps they would be much better. We value youth but age (experience) has so much to teach us. We live in a world of instant gratification but, if we let things come around in their own time, they could be so much better.

Let’s look at senior citizens. These amazing folks have lived through things that we have never experienced. We are unlikely to experience all the things they have. Look at the changes they have seen to civil rights, technology, travel, and the economy. The world today, is a very different place than the one they grew up in. They have lived through World Wars and the Great Depression; these are certainly things I hope to never experience but just imagine all they learned going through that. Look at the changes to Women’s Rights. In her day, my mother was fired from her job because (as a married woman) she got pregnant. That was completely normal and acceptable, not so very long ago. Growing up fast could not give us the knowledge and experience or form us into the people we are meant to be. Only time can work her magic in these situations.

Let’s look at relationships. In the past I have rushed quickly into relationships. I did not give myself the time or freedom to date many people. I would meet someone and then make them my everything and eventual marry them. I did this twice. When I eventually decided I would like to try a romantic relationship again; I allowed myself to date many people. I did not rush anything. I allowed things to come about in their own time. I held enough respect for myself to walk away when it wasn’t right. This allowed me to find the man who would be my third and final husband. We are a nice match. We fit well together. If I had tried to rush one of the earlier relationships into being something it was not meant to be, I would never have gotten to this place, where I have a beautiful partnership with a man who is perfect to me.

Another good example of taking time over instant gratification is books. Are you a reader? Do you like to read novels? Have you ever read a novel and then gone to see the movie they made of it? Were you disappointed? I have found that when I see a movie after I have read the book, that I am often disappointed, because so much of the meat of the story has to be left out. Sure it is a quicker way to experience the story. A couple hours verses a couple days or more to get through the book. Depending on how much time you have to read each day. I just feel frustrated by the changes they have to make in the story, for it fit into the movie’s allowed time.

Don’t get me wrong. I still really enjoy movies, just as I really enjoyed the green curry last night. I love the life I have lived and do not wish it to be anything but what was. I am grateful for those brief and quick relationships and what they had to teach me. But sometimes, just sometimes, we need to realize the gift that giving something some more time, can be. No, time does not heal all things, but time can allow changes within ourselves to be able to face what we could not face before. Just like my mother’s lasagna, which was always better on the second day, time makes life more flavorful.

I love you. Thank you for reading my blog today. May your life be full of the ‘flavor’ that time allows to permeate all things, as if by magic!

Guidance

I have a vacation looming. A time when I will be all alone in the forest. A magical dance for me with the Fea Folk and Nature Spirits. I am so looking forward to getting off the grid, out of my head, and away from responsibilities. I will have a glorious time, in nature, away from any commitment except to myself. Doesn’t that sound glorious!

When this vacation started to grow near, I started thinking of all the things I could ‘use” the time for. Finishing my Wellness Coaching Certificate, blogging, writing additional chapters for our books. The list was lengthy and growing.  It would be easy to fill my days alone with “to do’s”. There is a monthly group I facilitate here in the Twin Cities (If you are interested in attending, message me and I will give you the details).  This group is to help people explore their intuitive gifts, find a community of like minded souls, and enjoy be authentically who they truly are without judgment. It was at this group that I asked a question for guidance. I told the group I have this blessed time coming, where I will be alone and have time for myself. I will have the space to do whatever I need. The space to be completely free of responsibility to another living soul. I let them know my “to do” list as rapidly growing with things I could “check off” my list as done.  I asked for guidance as to how to spend the time.

I must tell you, that I feel even the question itself was divinely guided. I do not remember feeling conflicted about how to spend the time, only glad to have the time and space. We had extra time at the end of the group and I wanted to allow the group one final opportunity for practice. No other questions were raised so I asked. The guidance, I received, was unanimous. Do not work on a “to do” list. No blogging, no journalling, do not study, do not busy yourself with stuff. BE quiet. Walk/hike, kayak (slowly), sit in peace with nature, meditate, float, and just allow time and space.  I guess I was surprised at one level and not surprised at another level. I would not have asked the question if I felt the direction of my “to do” list was where I was supposed to go with this blessed time. I am, however, a person who is driven. I like to use every little bit of time productively and not “waste” it.

Ah ha! There lies the Truth! Time spent in the Now, with your True Self, is never wasted. I realize that I feel if I am not checking something else off the list as done, I feel I have not really been productive. In reality, what could be more productive than living in the now, finding my Joy, just being with me? How is it I have not been able to see in the past, really see and appreciate, the honor and the gifts of Time and Space to just Be? It is in this time and space I will be free to really and honestly experience God. To feel and become Aware of my connection and integration, into the Collective Consciousness.

I feel blessed for these wise Eternal souls in my life. I appreciate their Bravery to be a part of the group and to give their nonjudgemental Guidance. Thank you to all who channeled this advice for me, I Appreciate you!

Thank you for reading my blog today. I wish you a lifetime of clear Guidance and Blessed Friends, as if by magic.

Divine Wisdom

I’ve been lucky enough to get to spend a fair amount of time, this weekend, watching and listening to lessons of the Hay House World Summit. It is a free event with many inspirational and instructive lessons to help you be the best version of you, you care to be. I must say, the summit really has me thinking.  A couple of their sessions I have attended this morning spoke of the power of our thoughts. Those of you who are regular readers, of my blog, know that I believe in the power of thought and am always looking to find ways to better connect and utilize that power, to make the world a better place. Louis Hay, the founder of Hay House, was a big believer in, and promoter of, the minds influence over our health.

Several years ago I started a Holistic Healing Practice. I named my business Divine Wisdom. I believed that everyone has, within themselves, the Divine Wisdom to heal their bodies and their lives. It was kind of a radical idea for a hospice nurse. I was trained in multiple different modalities, not because I thought I was the healer who could mend the illnesses in the bodies of my clients, but rather because I felt I could use these modalities to help my clients awaken their personnel power to improve their own lives and health. The two are tied together; since true wellness includes the mind, body, and spirit. I don’t know if the world was not ready for my view of healing or if I just didn’t, at that time, possess the skills to promote my business. But after two years it was time to try an new adventure and way to help others.

I feel there is a shift coming. People are tired of the side effects of medications. Many of which are often worse than the initial illness. More and more, I meet people who refuse to let a diagnosis define them. We are, after all, not defined by the things that happen to use but rather instructed by these experiences. I see that the world around me is shifting away from the artificial in products and looking for healthier alternatives. I am hopeful that true change, in the way we deal with disease and illness, is coming and here to stay.

I had a very dear friend who was anxiously awaiting the “shift”. I believe she felt it was going to be an event. A sudden shifting that all would recognize. She passed away a few years ago and I wonder if she ever came to the realization the the shift is happening, everyday all around us. It is an energetic wave that moves across the land, awakening people as it weaves back and forth, like Kundalini energy up the spine. There are times (like now) when I feel her presence with me. She urges me on. Encourages me to continue to spread the light and share the Divine Wisdom as it comes to me. I am grateful for all that I have learned from her. I am also grateful for her continued presence from the other side of the vail.

How will health and healing manifest in your life? Do you believe and feel the true power of your nature to heal yourself? I am not saying to stop taking medications prescribed by your doctor. I am encouraging you to start to believe in the Divine Wisdom within your nature to improve your life. If you have not already begun, start looking into teachings from others with this similar thought. Trust your intuition to lead you to the teachers who can help you unlock this ability within yourself. Feel for that connection with the shifting consciousness of the planet and believe in magic.

Thank you for reading my blog today. I wish you a lifetime of Divine Wisdom.
